Portugal to Boston, MA
Fernando and Gilda Cafua immigrated from the island of Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, to Boston, Massachusetts in hopes of achieving a better life for themselves and their future family. As hard-working immigrants, Gilda created firemen suits as a seamstress, and Fernando juggled three jobs to make ends meet, including one as a baker for Dunkin’ Donuts. They also had three sons: Mark, David, and Gregory.

Our First Dunkin’
The Cafua Family was offered the opportunity to invest in their first store, located in Derry, NH.
At young ages, Mark, David and Gregory began working at Dunkin’ Donuts. They remember growing up in the business fondly and are proud to have worked in every position possible over the years, even standing on milk crates at an early age so they could take orders from behind the counter.

Cafua Management Company grew over the years and hit their 100th store grand opening in upstate New York.
Mark, David, and Gregory
Fernando and Gilda moved to Florida and left CMC in the capable hands of their three sons. Mark serves as CEO, David as Chief Property Officer, and Gregory as Chief Business Officer. Each took on roles that suit their strengths and continue to build upon their parents’ legacy.
